Gushing with love today -- Jan 29, 2009

I just couldn't resist- This was taken today on my cell. She is just too cute for words and I just had to capture that. I can't imagine life without Vicki. She's just so....... I don't know- I can't even find the words for it.
Plus, I just loved the fact that she was so happy and carefree.

Note to self - Jan 28, 2009

So we have crib tents for the girls to keep the cats out and their toys/blankets/pacifier in. When I put them down at night, I zip them in but before I went to bed last night , I unzipped the tents to put blankets over them since we currently have colds. I didn't re-zip the tents and I woke up to this. Vicki managed to grab the baby wipes and pull them out and drop them all over her crib and on the floor. Note to self- always RE-ZIP! :)

Shoes are so cool - Jan 27, 2009

The girls LOVE these shoes- they are just soft soled shoes but they have bows! Vicki was wearing jammies that had feet to them but she came walking up to me with them in hand wanting me to put them on.

Today we decided to use our fireplace for the first time. This was the girls first time seeing fire so we had to get a few pics. At first all they wanted to do was get in Sean's way and get into the soot. Then once it was lit and really going- they didn't care at all. LOL!

Another Dog Day -- Jan 21, 2009

Sometimes I forget that we have a dog but its never when we are eating at the kitchen table. Sometimes I forget we have a dog but never when we are out playing in the backyard with his ball. Today's pic is to honor my first first baby- Cooper. The one who keeps me warm in the wee hours of the morning when he's curled up beside me on the bed. The one who lays by the shower door when I take my shower. The one who patiently and willingly takes lots of pulling and prodding and poking from the girls. The one who wants so badly to play with us on the playground instead of being leashed to a nearby tree. The one who kisses my tears and comes over for a hug when he knows I'm hurt or upset.

Life with a 4 yr old -- Jan 20, 2009

So tonight my friend Amy went to the Sharks game with Sean and I stayed home b/c I was tired. LOL! I watched her 4 yr old son who was a whirlwind of energy. This is what the living room looked like after he played. Of course, he didn't put a single toy away.

Date night -- Jan 17, 2009

Sean and I hired a sitter to watch the girls while we went out to a Sharks game. I took this pic the next morning b/c it was too late when we got home but I just thought it was cool that right there on the table was a meshing of my life so to speak. Here I am with Sean for almost 7 years now and we have 2 beautiful girls together. How cool is it to hang out with my best friend watching a hockey game and still be able to raise 2 wonderful daughters.

Fork mystery revealed -- Jan 16, 2009

I have been wondering where their forks have gone. During mealtimes, I give the girls a small fork to use which they usually drop/throw onto the floor at some point. Nine times out of ten I recover the fork but there was 1 day where I couldn't find it. I thought the dog might have taken it since he LOVES to be underfoot and catch all the pieces of food they love to toss at him. No, as it turns out they BOTH figured out how to insert the fork into the hole on their booster chairs. Smart kids!! I only found this by accident- I had to move the chair quickly and it jostled the fork just so so I could see it.

Outside Fun -- Janu 15, 2009

It was a really warm sunny day today and we went outside to play. The girls loved this table and chair set. They relaxed in the chairs and played like buddies!!

So this is the view outside my kitchen window. I LOVE it. Love the green trees, love being able to see houses across the street, neighbors walking their kids or their dogs, school kids walking home after their day. Its great! I cleaned the window pane just before taking this pic so part of the love of this pic is that I have that sense of accomplishment that its clean and done. I've never had a window in my kitchen that I could look out and enjoy the view. I really like this place.

These shoes were made for walking -- Jan 11, 2009

Ok so 3 days in and I've broken my rule but hey rules are made for breaking so they say.
I was watching Sami walk in her new slipper shoes and I could just feel the concentration and the uncertainty she had. These hardwood floors are super slippery with socks and it had been cold for a few days so Sami wasn't walking at all. Then I bought these slipper shoes for them and she started taking off. Independence gained!!!

Everything has a place-- Jan 8, 2009

I'm a nut when it comes to being organized so for me, this place is great. The owners put in custom closets so there's lots of shelves and cubby holes for stuff. I'm getting there and it just feels good. Plus the light is just so great here. Light and organized-ish.

Our new Home --Jan 7, 2009

This pic was taken on 1/7/2009. Its our new place on moving day. Words can't capture how I feel about moving into a bigger house. We don't own it- we rent but it doesn't matter to me. Its my own little patch of grass and my own space to do what I want. Moving in means warm home with my family around me and space to breathe easy.

I'm going to give this Photo 365 project a shot. Not the greatest photographer on the block but I've got a camera that does all the stuff for me so why not. I tend to shoot most of my pics of our twin girls - just their faces and usually when they are sitting in their booster seats during a meal b/c if I shoot any other time, its in motion!!

I'm going to "shoot" for objects that create a feeling in me and share those with you.
