Broccoli Rocks -- June 25, 2009

I think these were actually grown from seed as well but I'm so excited that I've got broccoli. Who would have thought??

What a tah-ma-tah! -- June 24, 2009

Ahhhh...... my cherry tomatoes. I planted 2 seedlings and they are morphing into a massive tomatofest. Sami loves the smell of the plant too- its cute. She was looking at them and unbeknownst to me, picked 3 little guys. Not to worry, I think I will be able to feed a small army with the bazillion left over! :)

Peter peter pumpkin eater -- June 23, 2009

I highlight my pumpkins today. While some pumpkins within this one plant patch are about the size of a golfball, this love is the size of one of those small watermelons ALREADY! The girls and I look at this one's growth each day. Even though my girls were born early at the end of September, I still consider them October babies and my little pumpkins!! Can't wait til we can decorate these babies!!

Backyard fit for 3 princesses -- June 22, 2009

So the girls have their play structure and kiddie pool which they are using more and more frequently and mine is that massive green thing in the background. Next few days pics will be my veggies. I am so proud of them. Its amazing the satisfaction you get from watching something you planted grow and yield fruit (or in this case veggies) I guess my green thumb is NOT with flowers but with veggies that originate as seedlings in my hands. I tried growing from seed and the only thing that took is the massive cucumber spread I have-- almost too massive though. I had to cut it WAY back though when we got home from CT b/c it was just too overgrown and crowding out my peppers-- NOBODY messes with my peppers. LOL!

Open for business -- June 21, 2009

I've really been wanting to tackle the garage and get rid of old junk, sell off some baby/hockey stuff, and make it an organized space with room to move. Mostly, I want to be able to park my minivan in it so that when it gets crazy hot out, I can at least save a little gas by not running the AC for 5 min prior to any of us getting into it. Well, I'm happy to say that Sean and I accomplished this task after a lot of sweat. It still needs work but at least its functional now. :)

Can you say Southpaw?? -- June 20, 2009

The little computer we have has a mouse pad that can move to either side of the keyboard. I usually keep it to the right since we are righties. Hmmmmm....... not so sure we all are righties now. I didn't move it for her either- she did it on her own. She's been using the fork and spoon in her left hand too.

Last Day -- June 16, 2009

Our last day in CT we spent with the family and stayed over Kelly's house. The girls were excellent on the flight home the next morning. I miss my family so much though!! My mom wanted this one- now I need to remember to email it to her.

Back to the horses -- June 15, 2009

We went back to the horse farm one last time.

Happy Birthday Grammie -- June 14, 2009

Today is my mom's birthday- Dad kept teasing her that she was 29 again so we put that on the ice cream cake. The girls LOVED the cake. :)

Lupa Zoo -- June 13, 2009

We took the kids and my siblings to the Lupa Zoo in Ludlow Mass. It was pretty cool. A good time was had by all until the girls got hot and hungry. :) Go figure!

Kitty Kitty -- June 12, 2009

Sami was a slug today- really really tired. When she's not in the crib, she enjoys cat naps in the cat's bed- much to the cat's disappointment!!

Things to come -- June 11, 2009

The pictures just say it all-----curlers!!!!!!

hugs all around -- June 9, 2009

Its starts with the boys now -- June 7, 2009

Today was my sister-in-law's (SIL) son's graduation. Derek graduates from high school next weekend but we celebrated it today. Catered food, a DJ with dancing-- lots of fun. The girls absolutely LOVED dancing to the music. They also had fun with my SIL's brother seen here. They adored him and ran around all weekend long yelling "JASON" "JASON" It was cute! I felt bad though b/c the girls were pretty scared of Derek (b/c of his hair) but he was a trooper and kept trying over and over again! Congrats to Derek!!

Fun at my brother's house -- June 6, 2009

My sister and I took the girls up to Maine to visit my brother and his family for his stepson's graduation party. We had a bonfire tonight and just sat around talking and having a good time.

Playing with dolls -- June 3, 2009

The girls spent the morning taking care of their baby dolls. First we dressed them, fed them breakfast in the booster seats, then we rocked them in the rocking chair, and finally here we put them down for a nap in the pack n play. It was really cute to see how well they know their stuff when it comes to caring for someone else. Of course as soon as they dropped the babies into the crib, they wanted them RIGHT back! :)

mullet style -- June 2, 2009

Sami's hair is just crazy these days- not quite long enough for a ponytail so we'll just settle for the mullet look for a bit. LOL!

First Petting Zoo -- June 1, 2009

One of the agricultural farms near my parents had a "petting zoo" with a bunch of atypical animals (kangaroo, ostrich, bison, etc) They did have sheep, cows, goats and turkeys. It was the first time the girls saw any animals other than the pics in the books. This picture is their reaction. LOVE IT!!

What Poppa wants, Poppa gets -- May 31, 2009

My dad is doing EXCELLENT even though he's got stage 4 lung cancer. He eats what he wants, when he wants it. The girls call him Poppa. Its super cute. He's initiated them into the finer workings of sweets- ice cream being his (and now their) favorite. (Remind me to post about the orange sherbet some day!!)

We were all gathered round the table getting ready to play dominoes again when we decided to load up on sweets! Dad wanted his ice cream and a slice of pizza.

I finally did it!! -- May 30, 2009

I haven't been able to take off my engagement ring since the beginning of the pregnancy with the girls. I had to have my band cut off at 4 months preggers. Today was the first time I was able to remove it. What a sense of accomplishment- proof that I've really lost 20lbs. :)

Lindy Farms and the horses -- May 26, 2009

My parents house is close to a horse farm and my dad has been wanting to bring the girls there for quite some time. Today we finally went and it was perfect!! Its foaling season they told us so there were 2 moms and 2 foals in each paddock that we went by. There must have been at least 20 horses just in our view!! We all loved it. The moms were pretty friendly and the babies were just darling- some were super friendly and others were shy or nervous.

I'm posting this pic of my dad and Vicki (I'm sure my mom will get upset) because of the continuing of generations. Vicki is just like me and I'm just like my dad.

Its a parade! -- May 24, 2009

We went to the town parade to celebrate Memorial Day. The girls enjoyed the parade but there were large gaps in between groups so they were playing with another little girl who just adored them. Here they are all enjoying Ring Around the Rosie. :)

Jack's Big Music Show -- May 23, 2009

The girls first thing in the am drinking milk and watching Jack's Big Music Show.

We made it to CT -- May 20, 2009

Kelly after the flight- we were beat and ready to pull out our hair but we made it.

Spongebob gets hair -- May 18, 2009

Because we have 2 cats and a dog which are all black and shed like crazy, I have to sweep our hardwood floors every day. This is what collected next to Spongebob today. LOL!

A day at the Aquarium -- May 17, 2009

We all went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the day b/c the girls LOVE fish books. We all had a great time. :)

Kiss This -- May 16, 2009

As part of our makeover fun, we did pedicures and facials. My mask was on so thick that I couldn't smile or laugh. We had fun.

Hot days May 13, 2009

My sister Kelly is visiting us for a week. It was hot so we were playing around in the backyard today. This is just after naptime so Sami looks pretty hit but she's happy and awake. :)

Hot momma!! May 12, 2009

Vicki loves to put on my high heel shoes everyday. I just had to catch a pic of her.
