My birds -- Feb 26, 2009

I LOVE having a hummingbird feeder b/c I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching them come and drink!! I get one big one and one little one. Its cute when they come b/c the girls love it and say "brd, brd!" Not so much fun when they buzz my head when we are outside.

Sean is at work today and tomorrow so I'm alone with the girls. I'm still having a hard time with my sister and her loss. So today, whatever they wanted to do, I let them do with wild abandon. This pic was taken after we returned from the park. They still had energy left so I let them play in the dog's water dish. We had just returned and Cooper was wanting some water so I gave him a fresh bowl. The door was open so both girls followed the sound of the dog lapping up the water. Once Cooper was done, they had at it!! Its was fun all around and needless to say, we stripped down right away.

Since we are all sick with colds, Sean and I sold our tickets to the Sharks game tonight. We watched it on TV instead. Here is a shot of our TV at the end of the game. Yay! We won!!

Like lookin' in a mirror -- Feb 16, 2009

Had Sean take this pic. I was cracking up at dinner tonight b/c Vicki was mimicking my arm gestures and even head positioning. She folded her arms over each other just like I was and tilted her head just like I was. It was just too funny and it was the first time I noticed the mimicking. Guess now I have to WATCH EVERY little thing I say and do around little miss eagle eyes!! LOL

Both girls are sick with colds again. Sami has a yucky ear infection that never really went away so she's back on antibiotics. Vicki doesn't have the infection as of yesterday's pedi appt but the way she was today...... umm.... yeah... going back to the pedi on monday for more antibiotics.

Anyway, the point of today's pic is how determined Sami is to hook together the clasps of her and Vicki's booster seats. She would struggle and push on hers until she got it, then proudly anounce she had done it and run over to Vicki's chair to do hers. Its really quite the process and quite the site. I'm positive one pic here doesn't convey it all but its at least a capturing of what she does.

Today is my brother Mike's birthday. He's a HUGE fan of In-N-Out Burgers so in honor of his b-day we chowed down on burgers for dinner. The girls LOVED it Mike!! LOL.

Fire in the hole -- Feb 12, 2009

We have a fireplace and Sean got us a good one going tonight so I'm sitting here by the fire listening to the crackle and pop, watching the flames shoot up, smelling that wonderful fire smell and updating my blog. Very relaxing!! :)

Let the painting begin -- Feb 9, 2009

Today the girls did watercolor painting for the first time with Andrea, our mother's helper. Vicki LOVED it but Sami wasn't too interested. Sami strikes me as more the fingerpainter than a brush painter like Vicki but I'll try that on another day. This is Vicki's masterpiece which will decorate my frig for a time!

Today is my sister Colleen's birthday. She's the baby now at 28. ;-) When she was living with us, we used to love making blueberry waffles and joked each time about the line from Shrek. In honor of her birthday.....

yeah, lol!!! This is/was my exercise ball for doing my back exercises and to sit on at work during my pregnancy. I wrote on it so that no one would take it away. Vicki adores it now. I should cross off the Tracey and put in here name. And yes, Kelly, she isn't wearing pants- I know. I swear I do put pants on my kids! Hope you had a happy birthday today!!

Playtime --Feb 3, 2009

An abandoned toy but a loved one for sure. Usually toys are abandoned to play with the dustpan and broom or the tupperwares in the drawers or some other mommy toy. Nice. :)

Another Groundhog Day -- Feb 2, 2009

Today is my 36th birthday. I didn't do much but I did get to workout and that was an extra treat for me. Time. Its all about time. How you spend it. Whether or not you regret what you've done with it. What you plan to do with what you think you might have left. For anyone who reads this, my one year older wisdom for you: Don't waste your time on the small stuff unless they come in toddler sizes and then they are worth all the time in the world. :)
